If for whatever reason you aren't completely satisfied with your item, we can refund or exchange your purchase. Items must be returned in the original packaging with original tags and labels still attached. 
Skis cannot be returned if bindings have been mounted or if they have been drilled. 
As soon as we have received the returned goods we will aim to turn them around and refund you as soon as possible, but please allow us three working days before contacting us.

Warranty. If you have a problem with goods bought from Powder Institute, please give us a call or send us an email stating the issue and ideally with some pictures, once we have taken a look we will advise what the best procedure will be. Warranty policies from our suppliers vary, but we strive to get you an answer and help find a good solution to get you back on the mountain as soon as possible.


We aim to deliver all orders within 2-3 working days within Austria and Germany. For European orders or even further afield then please contact us for a postage quote before ordering.
Shipping on skis is a flat rate of 13 Euro, if purchased with bindings then delivery is free of charge within Austria and Germany.

All products shown on the website are in stock, unless otherwise stated. If a product is down to the last 1 or 2 then please drop us an email before you purchase so that we can secure that the goods are reserved for you.

Payment. We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as Paypal, so it should be super easy for you to get your hands on the gear that you want, if your payment type isn't listed, then please drop us an email or give us a call before you place your order.

Who are Powder Institute?

We are an independently owned freeride ski store located in the heart of Innsbruck, Austria. 
We source and stock specialist brands for all your back country adventures. All of the skis and equipment that you can see online and in our store is used by us in the back country. 
We love to talk about all things winter...
At Powder Institute, we are in a lucky position being located at the heart of the Freeride City, with the nearest steep lines being accessed in 20 minutes from the shop. Come and stop by for a coffee and a chat, we are happy to hook you up with local mountain guides, places to train whilst you are in Innsbruck, local Physio's for when it all gets a bit out of shape. 
We are more than just a ski shop.
